Stomped up, skiffle-pop-folk!
A 7-piece band of multi-instrumentalists, incorporating violin, tenor guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, electric guitar, bass and drums. The songs are mostly written by the band and feature strong arrangements with luscious harmonies, combined with solid drums and melodic bass lines.Influences are diverse but include the likes of John Prine and Pokey LaFarge, Katzenjammer, Gogol Bordello, Wilco and The Dead South.
The Nefarious Picaroons formed in Guildford in 2012 and are widely popular around Surrey and Hampshire; playing many beer festivals, appearing at popular venues like The Boileroom Guildford (supporting Hayseed Dixie), The Wedgewood Rooms Southsea (festivals), art centres in Aldershot and Cranleigh, music festivals including Guilfest, Dorking Westival, Weyfest and Shynefest.
