The Monday Music Club came together after Fiery Bird’s short residence at the Junction Cafe came to an end in October 2022.

Some of the Fiery Bird Open Mic regulars wanted to find a way to carry on with the relaxed, friendly, welcoming open mic evening they enjoyed at Fiery Bird and the Monday Club was formed.
For the first year, the club had to move around venues as it tried to find somewhere suitable, that could host the type of evening everyone was looking for.

And then in November 2023 Elaine McGinty was finally able to re-open Fiery Bird in a permanent new venue and could restart the much loved Open Mic night and also provide a perfect room for the Monday club.
To show their gratitude for all the hard work that Elaine, Joe and their amazing team of volunteers do, the members of the Monday Club are putting on an evening of entertainment on the main stage at Fiery Bird.

The evening will feature a wide range of musical styles and some spoken word, representing the broad spectrum of people who enjoy coming to Monday Club.
