This month’s grassroots showcase of the fantastic music we bring to Woking from our local bands and further afield features the excellent, local legends Coco La Funk, furious, funny, visceral Redeeming Features and indie rockers Belizaire.

Read on to find out why we think you will love them and all for only £10 in your local venue! Seeing artists on intimate local stages is where the magic starts….

Coco La Funk – members come from, inspired or founded a wide range of respected, innovative and creative bands. This month, we’ve been lucky enough to pin them down and they’ll be playing in the original Coco La Funk trio line up laying down thick layers of funk and soul, lovers of Sly & The Family Stone will find their groovy itch scratched. Guaranteed to bring in early Summer vibes and send you away with a spring in your step.

Redeeming Features ‘visceral hyperactive and absurd’. From feature slots in venues and festivals in the UK & abroad on the spoken word & live music circuit, including Fiery Bird Venue and our Literary tent at Guilfest, he’s supported many punk bands and recently opened for Softplay at 02 Brixton. Powerful social commentary, humour, energy and raw expression enrapture audiences to the rhythm of his delivery and humanity in his words. He donates all profits from his book ‘Sniffing Glue and Playing Chicken on the M4’ to mental health charity MIND.

Belizaire, an indie alternative rock band formed in Wokingham in July 2023 who ‘like writing songs about life and love playing music loud!’ An audience favourite at CRUNCH in August 2025 so we asked them back for even more people to enjoy!
They bring a fusion of their musical influences from jangly indie rock, mixed with heavy riffs and introspective lyrics appealing to fans of The Cure, Nirvana, and The Strokes
Their critically acclaimed debut album “Unravel” has had extensive airplay across many radio stations who cite them as ‘future festival headliners’ We would love to play at your venue so we can share our original music to more people. Belizaire pic credit @AndrewMerritt
