The Voltares are an acoustic rock band from Woking. They formed last year when singer-songwriter Jay Cassie and guitarist Rob Quigley finally reunited after a long hiatus to work on a new collection of melodic, acoustic driven rock songs laced with the alternative 80s vibe of bands like The Cure, Crowded House, Echo and Bunnymen and REM. Joining them are Luke Hathaway on drums and Iestyn Thomas on bass, completing the stage line-up and bringing their collective experience and renewed energy to the music scene.

Plus support from Cold July

“Cold July is a young band based in Guildford, UK that writes timeless, harmony-driven, Indie-Folk-Pop songs with classic singer-songwriter influences that resonates across multiple generations of music fans.

With a Male/Female co-lead dynamic, our sound evokes Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac and the California music scene of the early 70s, but it also draws from the melodic craftsmanship of Crowded House, the anthemic acoustic rock of the Goo Goo Dolls, as well as the harmony-drenched indie-folk of Flyte, and the strong emotional storytelling of Passenger and Phoebe Bridgers.

Formed in May 2024 at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, the band bonded over their love of classic songwriting and ambition to create lasting music. Though only 18, their songwriting shows a maturity beyond their years. With a deep respect for music history and influences spanning the 60s to today, Cold July carries a quiet confidence that is both endearing and electrifying.”
